I am writing this review after using it over a year, while it does great what it supposed to - that is 'the sound' with tis noise canceling features and different modes - all work work fantastic - 4.5 stars (always room for improvement)Now the bad part - the ear pads! just pathetic. I use it moderately - an hour or two everyday, yet the cushions cover has come off!! - 0 stars (just pathetic and disappointing)
I am mesmerised by the sheer quality of anc and quality. After tinkering with a lot of settings in my iphone, finally found the sweet spot. It’s a very capable pair of headphones for travelling and working without being distracted. It’s build quality is solid.
Nothing special. I bought these in September 2025, and today it's July 2026, so I've had plenty of time to use them before writing this review. I bought them expecting a huge quality of life improvement for my job, but honestly they sound almost the same as any decent pair of regular headphones. The build quality was also disappointing. The ear cup lining on both sides started peeling despite very gentle use. They literally stay on my work desk all the time. I've never travelled with them or even taken them outside.I'm not writing this review to bash the company. I'm writing it because I genuinely want to save you from wasting your hard earned money. Just buy a good pair of headphones for not more than ₹5,000. I honestly don't think you'll notice enough of a difference to justify the price. You'll 100% regret buying these. I know I do.The only reason I'm giving these 2 stars instead of 1 is because they are actually comfortable to wear, just like the name suggests. Personally, I haven't had any comfort issues, the longest I've worn them continuously is around 2-3 hours. So keep that in mind when weighing my recommendation.
I bought this a month ago for studying with Anc on and this did not disappoint that purpose. The product can be worn easily for stretches of 4hrs at a time, charges quite fast, the cabin pressure is no big deal and can be easily adjusted to. I am no soundphile so did not do much experimenting with sound modes, although sound for songs and videos were good. Cons: The price is very high, the connectivity with bluetooth sometimes acts up(very few times) and disconnects automatically or fails to connect with a single device, Although Anc is top notch it does not work well with sharp sounds so be careful there, although, I'm sure alternative Anc products have this same weakness, in hot and humid climate the earpads will cause sweating and will need more care, mic quality is great but not as good as simply speaking with the phone on your ear 👂. Overall great for studying in a noisy environment, if you have headaches or are sensitive to environmental sounds or just wants to protect their hearing, if you have the money to spend and live in a slightly less humid and less warmer climates.
I got the 60th anniversary version of the QC Ultra comforts. Absolutely in love.Controls, all on one ear is totally subjective preference. For me personally I find that to be even better than having both ears have buttons because now I can just grab any part any time of my left ear to grab/hold/move/etc. my headphones without worrying about hitting a button or changing any settings.Previously I was using Sony WH 1000 XM3, compared to the sony's, the battery life could be much better. there is a significant improvement on Noice cancellation and during those webex meeting, it works perfectly fine, no complaints from the receiver side.but sofware side need improvement for sure, sony's sound connect give more flexibility to the user and have more options to control the noice cancellation level and twig the sound signature.Overall good experince so far after using it for 9 month.
Comfort is what it feels when using this headpone, even after long hours of use I feel no strain on my ears. Next is the sound quality, what can I say...it is bose. Though they are other headphone in similar price range that gives equally the same sound quality like sony mx series, sennheiser. The advantage this bose headphone has compare to other brands is the comfort due to its light weight design and ear cushions. It is also aesthetically pleasing, comes with a good carrying case. Battery life is almost 60 hrs on full charge. Most technical details are already provided in production description. To get full experience of the sound quality try to use high bitrate audio files. In Spotify or YouTube select the highest bit rate while streaming.
As an owner of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones, paired with my OnePlus 13, I can confidently say these are an absolute revelation in personal audio. Bose has truly delivered a flagship experience that excels in every critical area, elevating daily listening into an immersive journey. From the moment you put them on, the comfort is simply unmatched. The lightweight design and plush earcups create a gentle, yet secure, seal that allows for hours of fatigue-free listening. This is crucial for long commutes, extended work sessions, or simply losing yourself in your favorite tracks. Now, here's the secret to truly unlocking the full potential of these magnificent headphones: feed them high-quality audio. While they'll make any audio sound good, to experience their true fidelity, you need to step up your source. This is where your OnePlus 13, with its aptX Adaptive support, becomes a perfect partner. With aptX Adaptive, your phone can dynamically adjust the audio bitrate to deliver the highest possible quality wirelessly, minimizing latency and maximizing detail. To complement this, I highly recommend:* FLAC or other lossless music files: Downloading your music in formats like FLAC ensures you're listening to uncompressed audio, preserving every bit of detail from the original recording.* Spotify Premium (when HiFi is available) or Apple Music Premium: Apple Music Premium already offers a vast library in lossless and high-resolution lossless audio, which you can enable in the settings. WhileI've been enjoying my music immensely with this setup. The synergy between the Bose QuietComfort Ultra's incredible sound and ANC, and the high-fidelity audio delivery from my OnePlus 13, creates a personal concert experience wherever I go.In conclusion, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones are an exceptional investment for anyone seeking unparalleled comfort, world-class noise cancellation, and truly stunning audio. But remember, to get the absolute best out of them, pair them with a device like the OnePlus 13 that supports advanced codecs like aptX Adaptive, and make sure your music source is delivering lossless or high-resolution audio. You won't regret it!
QC Ultras are being quoted as Bose’s best ANC headphones to date. Got these an attractive price in Feb 2025.1. Sound: The quality of sound / clarity is impressive, balanced and clear across bass, mid and treble. The bass is a passive bass (rich in tone but no physical vibration as I understand it means). The default bass is a bit rich for me so I toned it down using the EQ in the Bose App. Other than that, the rest is crystal clear to my ears.2. Active Noise Cancellation: Not seen better ANC in this price range. QC Ultras take it up a couple of notches with intelligent ANC adjusting to ambience. You can customise as per needs using modes. The “ANC level” control is no more accessible as a button, but instead is now set in “modes”. You can add any number of custom modes and mark some modes as favourites and the favourites can be toggled through using the multifunction button, when in use.If you want to simply tune out of the world with nothing playing on the device/ headphones, that works too. Silence.3. Designed for comfort and fit: Lightweight with a cushioned headband and ear pads hinged to an articulated aluminium frame, QC Ultras are designed well for long listening sessions avoiding ear fatigue.4. Battery Life: Upto a day on music, with a quick charge feature when needed.5. Connectivity: The Bluetooth 5.3 is enabled, and it can toggle between two devices at the press of a button (say, phone and laptop).6. Functionality has changed from previous generations with the volume control enabled through a capacitive-touch rib at the back of the right ear pad.7.Spatial audio is an addition. The spatial audio effect is easily observable. But, some fixing is needed to make the sound as good as when using without spatial audio. Maybe a firmware/software update coming soon?Bose QC Ultra headphones are superior for ANC, comfortable wearing, and sound clarity.
Got these for 24k during sale1. Sound Quality: The sound is impressively balanced and clear, with bass that’s deep but doesn’t overpower the rest. Whether it’s classical or hip-hop, everything sounds crisp and full.2. Noise Cancellation: Bose really nails it with the ANC—it’s strong but smart, adjusting as needed to block out the world. Transparency mode also feels natural, like you’re not wearing headphones at all.3. Comfort: Super comfy! Lightweight with soft ear pads, these are perfect for long listening sessions without any ear fatigue.4. Battery Life: Lasts up to 24 hours with ANC on, and a quick charge is there when you need it. Reliable for travel or just a busy day.5. Connectivity: The Bluetooth is stable, and it can connect to two devices at once, so you can switch between your phone and laptop easily.Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones hit all the marks clear sound, amazing noise cancellation, and lasting comfort. They’re a solid pick if you want premium headphones for serious listening. The only reason People buy xm5s over these are because of xm5 got good quality mic if u take a lot of calls and you xm5s 10k less then these but ppl are crying on sony reddit because of xm5 hinge breaking issue and build qualityQC ultras are way superior in terms of everything else .
If you’re on the fence, not sure about which high end headphone to buy, I’d highly recommend that you get the Bose QuietComfort Ultra. If you’re someone who likes to listen to a balanced sound signature as opposed to bass heavy headphones, then this is the perfect product for you. I am not saying that bass is poor on these headphones, you can definitely hear it but you may not feel that extra thump you might find on Sony products. The noise cancelling is just out of the world. For flights and long bus journeys, the headphones will drown out enough of the ambient noise to let you sleep peacefully. The ear cups and headband are soft and comfortable enough for long hours of listening. The ear cups are also really deep so most ear types won’t touch the driver enclosure. The Bose app is also well designed and easy to use. The immersive audio feature is great for certain songs and for watching shows, but it won’t work well with every song. I prefer to have it turned off to get more battery life. I can get a week’s worth of battery out of each charge (I listen to music for about 3-4 hours per day at 50-60% volume). The hinges and other components of these headphones feel sturdy and well built. You can go ahead and get these without a second thought. However, if you’re someone who makes a lot of phone calls from your headphones, or if you’re a bass head, you might want to consider other options like the XM5, since they have better microphones and a warmer, bass heavy sound signature.
I have been using the AirPods Pro 2 daily and the Shokz OpenRun for walks and the gym.I was considering getting a pair of headphones (1) for better sound quality and (2) for better noise cancellation.I went ahead with the purchase on October 19th at a price of approximately ₹22,000.Mistakes/assumptions:1. A higher price means better performance: The AirPods Max still uses Apple’s H1 chip. Despite its exorbitant price, it doesn’t compete with the AirPods Pro 2, which uses the Apple H2 chip. Mark Ellis Reviews has done a video on this, and I compared sound quality reviews against these as a benchmark.2. Being a class leader in ANC means their sound quality must also be somewhat on par.3. Not doing A/B testing for sound quality before buying.I was listening to music on my AirPods when I received the delivery. My first impression upon wearing the Bose QC Ultra was disappointment in how lackluster the sound quality was. I tried adjusting the EQ but didn’t notice much of an improvement.I tried out its unique selling point (USP), Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), but it was nothing remarkable.Immersive Audio: A gimmicky attempt at replicating Apple’s Spatial Audio. It sounds very processed and artificial, unlike Spatial Audio, which feels natural.Popping sound when walking: There is a noticeable popping sound when walking, which makes the headphones usable only while at your desk. There is a Reddit thread indicating that this is a known issue.Tips for achieving high-quality output:• On the Apple Music app, turn on Hi-Res Lossless.TL;DR:• Noise cancellation: 8/10• Sound quality: 2/10• Spatial Audio (Immersive Audio): 1/10In terms of sound quality, the AirPods Pro 2 and Shokz are in a different league compared to the Bose QC Ultra, which, even if sold for ₹5,000 to ₹8,000, is not worth the price.Note: There are no returns after purchase.Update : Bose is refusing to address the popping sound issue. Amazon will be checking with them and are expected to get back to me by 5th of November. Will update the progress here.
Am fond of Bose audio headphones, having used several Bose products over the last 15 years.I’ve got this one just about 24 hrs back, thanks to Amazon Shopping Festival with Axis Bank credit card, I landed up paying around ₹25,300/- for it.The delivery experience with Amazon Prime was flawless and the product delivered within 36 hrs of placing the order.Packing is good and reminds of Apple unboxing. The first thing that comes to mind on using the product is its weight. Perhaps the lightest in its category. The head cushion is comfortable and even after using it for 2-3 hrs at a stretch one shouldn’t feel uncomfortable. The battery charging is quick, from ~50% to full charge taking around 30 mins with a Type C fast charger.Bluetooth connectivity is seamless with iPhone and the first-time pairing happens effortlessly. However, while comparing with the Apple AirPod ProMax that am using since a year, the spatial sound experience is not as great. The additional volume control buttons in Apple is more convenient. Besides, with the Apple product, it switches seamlessly between all Apple devices based on what you’re attending to, something this doesn’t.Overall, it’s a good product for single device usage, perhaps better than most others in its category, but definitely falls short of Apple.Thought of adding this additional aspect after over a month of using the product. While using the headphone and listening to anything on your phone, every time a call comes, you’ll have to manually select your headphone for attending it, unlike on my Apple AirPod Max, where it automatically shifts to the call and back.
Good sound quality
Amazing product. After trying two seneeheiser and Sony, I finally purchased this. Couldn’t find anything better as I don’t think anyone can match it. Wanted to save by trying others but if you want quality, simply pay and enjoy
Authentic Bose product. Build quality is top notch and sound profile exactly as expected from a brand like Bose. Overall, completely satisfied. Got it for my father and he loves the ergonomics too. Totally VFM during sale.
Writing this review after 6 months of use- This is a really good product if you want to hear music, top quality, long life !- This is average product if you want to use for conversation and looking for noise cancellation feature.- Other people on call can hear clear a sound from 20 ft distance, it rather amplify it.
Exceptional sound. Deep bass. Hearing such sounds and vocals which I do not know existed from songs which I had listened a thousand times before. Upgraded myself from a Sony1000XM3, which was also a very good headphone.
